I've been impressed with the current line of All-Clad's kitchen utensils, and this skimmer is no different than its heavy duty spoons. Well designed, easy to clean, its length is just about perfect, and the holes are slightly larger than normal, letting you drain your food -- fries, stir-fry, meat, etc. -- in less than two seconds. Highly recommended. -- Pleasantly surprised at the quality

All Clad utensils are made in China for the most part, but I still have a full set of tools with several add on tongs, fish turners, etc. The skimmer just isn't as functional as the pure mesh style skimmers. Sure it can skim out large items like bay leaves, bones, etc., but the foam and other minuscule items you really need to strain out just pass on through.

This purchase I probably should have returned. The large and hand held mesh strainers may need to be replaced every few years, but they do the job with far more efficiency.

The build quality of the all clad strainer is very high as usual, but the functionality isn't there. -- Get a Mesh strainer

This is the best quality skimmer I've ever seen, but it is so heavy that its functionaly is in question. Hence, 4 stars instead of 5. -- Heavy Material. Maybe too heavy.

I just love All-Clad products. I have a kitchen filled with All-Clad cookware and utensils. Now I've added the Skimmer to my collection and have found so many uses for it. A great value! -- So many uses...
